KIDx Asia Winner Announcement

“I knew the event would be powerful, but I didn't realize it would bring me to tears,” was the comment I got from an audience member who introduced herself to me after the announcement. A lot of others had similar comments when describing their experience during the KIDx Asia Grand Finale Winner Announcement, and our Kidspreneur MBA graduation ceremony. We are all still smiling thinking about what this event meant to all these young entrepreneurs and the profound way it will influence their future.

They could not have imagined they would be pitching their business ideas to top venture capitalists at this young age…. And they all were amazing! From the 3 editions of KIDx Asia with 45 speaker, we have shortlisted 15 kids ideas for the grand Finale from 7-17 years old, and all of them exuded passion, confidence, and smartness.

These Kidspreneur’s worked hard on their business ideas and were selected from a pool of 120 compelling entrants. At the end, a company had to be chosen as the winner and after much deliberation our judges selected Rajalakshmi,Founder of Culture Network with Rs.5,00,000 Investment and Kaushal Raj, Founder of MYLAT(My Little Accountant) with Rs.3,00,000 and Vidula, Founder of the Brand Potato with Rs.2,00,000 Investment and 12 others kidspreneur start ups got seed funding of Rs.50,000 each. Their prizes include seed funding for their company and the gift of the Kidspreneur EDU program to their own schools so that they can help inspire other young entrepreneurs.

When we designed this KIDx Asia model, we had one thing in mind: to sprout the spirit of entrepreneurship among Kids and Teens… and did we do that! At Kidspreneur, we believe entrepreneurship is a life skill. A life skill that needs to be learned by all kids just like math or English are learned at schools today.
